Each year it gets more meaningful for me.
This is Aunt D telling us what it was like to go to church in this building.
Aunt D asked if any one could play the organ,
Spence must have smiled big,
Aunt D asked him to play for us.
Its a pump organ
I snapped a photo of Ashy looking at our surroundings.
Maybe that is something I'll catch next year?!
Aunt Connie taking a turn at the organ.
As my family cleaned out my Grandparents home we found a home for most everything with in the family. My Grandpa's chest of drawers were hard to place. It was decided that they would go to the museum in Chesterfield for all to see. These are it.
This fancy contraption is setting close to the drawers. I thought it was for photos of sorts, turns out this how they gave perms in the olden days. It was in my Great Aunts salon. We heard a story of a young girl going in to get a perm and whomever was giving the perm placed the clip in the wrong spot, the young girls ear, burning it badly. She may have never received a perm again.
It was like another engagement session...not so sappy though.
