How I know

Over the last several years February has not been a good month for us. If something is going to go wrong it happens in February. The last couple of years have not affected us directly, however the things that happen to those around us tend to have an impact on our lives in one way or another. Last week Ash and Steph were talking about how we were going to make it this year with out any tragedy. They spoke much too quickly.
Yesterday we found out that a dear friend has Leukemia. I don't remember the exact diagnosis, but it is a chronic Leukemia, so it is slow growing. She will not have to go through chemo, however she will have to take a pill the rest of her life. If you have to be diagnosed with Leukemia this is the one. (not that anyone wants to be diagnosed with Leukemia)
When I first learned of the diagnosis, my first thoughts went to how she has been living her life and the way Heavenly Father has prepared her. Not only her but her family. They are prepared to take this battle on.
My thoughts have turned to the challenges of the world and am so sad that not everyone has the love and support from our Heavenly Father. I can't imagine going through life without it. My testimony may not always be the strongest and I have my moments of doubt. I know that it is Satan trying to work on me. I know that we are here to learn and grow and become better people. To share the light with others. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us all. It may not always be easy to follow that plan, and it is hard sometimes to always find faith in the plan. But it is the plan for us. I know because I can see His hand in others lives. I know because He make it possible. I know because He loves me for me.

does it mean I'm a good student if....

I am at school before the library opens? I arrived to school this morning a few minutes before seven and had to wait for the library doors to be opened. A fellow student was waiting patiently too. He was walking around the sidewalk measuring how many of his feet it took to go around one square....ok maybe not, he was however walking around in circle just waiting.

And...I almost died being a good student. As I was waiting to cross the street I contemplated crossing without the proper sign saying it was ok to cross. Just after I decided I was just going to be a law abiding citizen an officer appears, heading my direction. The proper sign appeared so I started walking. The officer also had the proper sign...He was making a left turn. He didn't see me until he was like thirty feet away. I was watching him, so I had already stopped to make sure I could make it to the library. He slammed on his breaks. I made it across the street safely....

While riding the bus....

This semester I am riding the bus. I have classes all day Tuesday and Thursday so instead of driving and being tempted to not stay for a class, I have found a way to be at school. Last week when I was riding a gentlemen got on, after sitting down he pulled out a comb and brushed his long luscious silver super greasy matted hair. I was grateful to not be sitting by him. GROSSS!
Today while waiting for the bus, a gentlemen comes running down that street, in his Army warm ups. He stops at the bus stop puts his back pack down and starts to stretch. It wasn't just a back stretch. He got all his leg muscles, arm muscles. He meant business! After stretching he continued to do a few more exercises. I felt as if he was getting ready to play football, basketball....no need to worry. All that stretching and warm up was to sit on the bus. Maybe I need to start doing a little routine in the morning while waiting for the bus....
